Jamboree Leader Interviews

Signups Have Begun for 2021 National Jamboree

Your Redwood Empire Council BSA is once again organizing a contingent of 32 youth and 8 adults to travel to the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia for the 2021 National Scout Jamboree, a 10 day experience of high adventure activities, outdoor adventure, exciting shows, special events, patch trading, and fellowship with over 35,000 other Scouts and Scouters from across our great nation and BSA extended family.

Prior to the Jamboree, our REC-BSA contingent is planning a 4 day tour of interesting locations and historic sites in various east coast cities including Washington DC.  This tour and the Jamboree will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for all who are eligible to attend.

Signup for the Jamboree using the event link with this article.  No deposit is required to express interest at this time.  The estimated fees will be announced in January 2020 after Jamboree contingent leaders have met to develop details for the tour and travel plans.  Deposit and payments will be spread out over 16 months to allow Scouts time to earn the money needed to pay his or her way to this special adventure.

We are looking for 8 motivated and capable adult volunteers to serve as Jamboree contingent leaders.  Interviews will be conducted by the Jamboree troop committee on Wednesday, Nov. 13 in Santa Rosa.  Sign up now if you would like to be considered for one of the 8 leader positions.
